Stage 2 of the Performing Arts Centre was ready for occupation at the beginning of Term 1 this year. The Music Department is completely in its new facility as is the Maori Department and Humanities occupy most of the first floor.

Drama is still working under difficult conditions but the end is in sight. Once the main contractor has completed his work around the end of March there will still be a lot of work to do to complete the stage fit out.

An official opening of the completed building is timed for early in term 2.
